The weather forecast for this Monday
was rain all day
I would normally cancel the walk
But I have already done so twice in
March
So I postponed a decision until Monday
morning
It was cloudy but dry when we woke up
So I sent the email to confirm the
walk
There were 16 on the walk
Only three had cancelled
The weather improved during our walk to Jalon
And it was sunny and warm by the time
we arrived at the play park
We used to have our banana break in
the park opposite Masymas
But there is a lovely picnic area at
the play park
There is a steep road to reach the
picnic area
But it is well worth the climb
One area had been cordoned off by the
local police
No idea why because it did not look at all damaged
And it was unusual to use police tape
At least it gave us something to talk
about
Not that the group usually struggles
to find things to talk about
I read on Facebook that the bridge at
Alcalali had been damaged in the recent storms
So we did a detour to check it out
There was small repair, but the bridge
was useable
The square in Alcalali has been closed for months to lay a new surface
It reopened on Sunday, so we were able
to use it today
It looked much the same, except for
the new surface
And I was a little disappointed to see that vehicles can still use it
Temperature – 17 to 21c
Time Taken – 3 hours
Distance – 9 km
