Last week we cancelled the walk
because of storm warning of heavy rain
Lucky we did, because there was indeed
heavy rain all morning
Though the sun did make an appearance
mid afternoon
There was a similar weather forecast
for this Monday, the third week in a row
We almost cancelled, but on Sunday
decided to risk it and walk
There was light rain and dark clouds
as we drove to the start in Jalon
And I decided to abandon our planned
walk
Instead we once more walked to the
Alcalali Ermita
As we had our banana break it was still
cloudy, but starting to clear
So we did a detour to the mirador to
add half an hour to the walk
As a result it took the full three
hours, and not a sign of rain
This is the first time that the
weather forecast has been so dramatically wrong
And we were really pleased that we had
decided to walk despite the forecast
There were 17 on the walk, only one
had cancelled
This included two new members, Suzanne
and Geoff
It was also nice to see so many who
had not walked since the summer break
It is really pleasant to have the lower temperatures
Though it is a shame that we have had so much rain in the past three weeks
As often happens Monday was the
wettest day of the week
Followed by a warm and sunny Tuesday
Temperature – 18-21c
Time Taken – 3 hours
Distance – 9 km
